Composite Fillings: Protect Your Teeth
Many people develop cavities at some point in their life.
Sometimes they are so small, you can only see them on an X-ray. Make sure you stay current with your dental check-ups so we can take care of any cavities that develop.
When cavities are not removed, bacteria continue to thrive. Tooth decay can lead to serious dental problems and pain.

Relax! Composite fillings are a simple procedure to protect your teeth.
Our dentists take great care to make sure all of our patients are comfortable during any dental procedure, including composite fillings. We take the time to explain each step of the process to our patients. When you know what to expect during your visit, it’s easier to relax.
Before we remove any decay in a tooth, we use a topical anesthetic to numb the gum area where we will inject a local anesthetic. We make sure patients are completely numb before we take out the decayed part of a tooth. Once the cavity has been removed, we can fill the area with a composite material. It’s best to wait until the numbing wears off before you try to eat anything.
Good oral hygiene helps prevent cavities.
You can help prevent cavities – and the need for fillings – by making wise decisions about what you eat and drink and how often you brush and floss. It’s always a good idea to steer clear of sugary drinks and to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Make sure you brush after every meal and floss daily.
We love helping all our dental patients enjoy great oral health!
